Anne Conroy-Baiter joined Junior Achievement of the Space Coast in July 2014 as its new President. With more than twenty years of experience in nonprofit management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and public relations, her most recent position was as Executive Director of an arts organization in New York State for eight years. Anneâs core of management experience and community improvement lends itself to forming new partnerships and collaborations within the Brevard community, while building programming reach in all corners of the county.
Junior Achievementâs mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from community volunteers who not only deliver our lessons, but share their experience. In the process, these volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young peopleâs perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves our proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.
Renee Torpy began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender and then transferred to become an Assistant State Attorney in the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. During this time, she handled several hundred active cases from misdemeanors to felonies in both County and Circuit Court. In 2020, Renee became an Injunction for Protection attorney at Serene Harbor to focus on helping victims of domestic, dating, sexual violence, and stalking. Renee has conducted many criminal and civil trials during her legal career. Additionally, she has had law articles published in the Brazilian Journal of International Law and the Journal of Maritime Law and Commerce.
